How the Campaign Works

The FourPlayers campaign is a ladder of 100 hand-built connector puzzles. Every level shows you four footballers and the club each one played for. Your job is to name the one player who has shared a dressing room with all four at club level. International teammates never count: the connection is always club football.

The early levels lean on famous names and obvious links, so a casual fan can settle in. From around level 20 the puzzles start reaching for loan spells, short transfers and squad players you half-remember from a Tuesday night cup tie. By the final stretch you are dealing with journeymen whose careers thread through four different leagues, and the connection only clicks when you stop thinking about stars and start thinking about careers.

Wrong guesses are not wasted. Each miss reveals one of the four club links in order, narrowing the search with every attempt. A surname is usually enough to answer, and close spellings are accepted, so you will never lose a level to a missing accent. Signed-in players keep their completed levels, streaks and solve times, and every level shows a difficulty rating built from how real players performed on it.

Alongside the numbered grid there is a separate Level of the Week: one bonus puzzle, hand-picked every Monday, with its own clue. It does not affect your campaign progress, so it is a free swing at something harder.
